Norlys(Telia) is currently experiencing technical difficulties with their SMS service. Impact: They are not able to send out SMS messages to recipients on their network. Nor are they able to forward incoming SMS messages sent from users on their network. As an intermediate solution, we have rerouted Norlys(Telia) outgoing SMS traffic to alternative providers, until the issue is resolved. Norlys (TELIA) announced planned emergency work that will result in downtime of the SMS trafik to Norlys subscribers. Actual service window reserved: 20.10.2025 @ 22.00 – 21.10.2025 @ 01.00 Danish Time Norlys expects their service to be Down only a few times with smaller duration. We expect all affected SMS traffic to Norlys to be queued on our side and resent with a short delay.

China Telecom has implemented new rules for SMS-content. Filtering of phonennumbers and URLs (starting 20th of May 2025) Messages containing unregistered numbers or URLs can be blocked. Content template verification. (starting June 1st) All content must be preregistered as templates to ensure delivery. Do note that this is currently only affecting China Telecom users. China Mobile and China Unicom are not affected for now.
